Ipswich Bed & Breakfast
The Robert Jordan house was built in 1863. Robert Jordan was a civil war veteran who made his living as a general merchant in Ipswich after the war. The house is a wonderful example of a Victorian home with fine Italianate detail. For a number of years after Robert Jordan, the house belonged to a local doctor who used it as a home and office for treating many of the residents of Ipswich. We sit on nearly an acre of terraced perennial gardens with walkways through the property designed to create a tranquil atmosphere. All bedrooms have a private bath, TV., queen beds and air conditioning. All are recently renovated and beautifully decorated.
